Sohail Tanvir proves to be the best bowler in IPL

Sohail Tanvier, the real surprise package sice the world twenty20 has proved himself always since the world twenty20. Now he has become the highest wicket-taker of Indian cricket league with 17 wickets. Seeing his stats anyone can say that this Pakistani medium-fast bowler playing for Rajasthan Royals is the best bowler of Indian Premier league 2008.

Sohail Tanvir didn't get enough chance in the beginning to play in IPL but when chance was provided to him, he showed his brilliance taking 6 wickets in a single match against Chennai Super Kings giving just 14 runs. Sohail has played just 8 match, comparatively very less than any other leading bowler but has proved himself with 17 wickets in 8 matches (31 overs) at an average of 11.52 and strike rate of 11.00. His economy is just 6.28 which is very very good in twenty20 cricket.

Other leading wicket takers are Shane Warne with 16 wickets from 12 matches, Sreesanth from 16 wickets from 12 matches, RP Singh 15 wickets from 12 matches and other less than that. Among the players taking more than 10 wickets in IPL, no player had played fewer or equal matches than Sohail Tanvir neither had they bowled less overs. None of them had better strike rate or average than Sohail Tanvir. Also, the economy of Sohail tanvir is best among them.

In short, Sohail has played lest matches, taken most wickets, has best average with ball, best strike rate, best figure of 6-14, best economy of 6.28 and so he is the best bowler of Indian Premier League. Do you think anyone who is better than this great player. Also, the thing which inspires me about him is he is too handy with bat.

Fight between Ganguly and Shahrukh continues in IPL Knight Riders

Knight Riders – probably were the best team with a lot of supporters in Kolkata and all-over. Looking the star players like Ganguly, Shoaib Akhtar, Gayle, McCullum, Ponting and others, everyone expected Knight Riders to be one of the top teams of IPL. Things were good at first when team was winning but as soon as the team has started loosing, clashes are going on between team owner Shahrukh Khan and coach Buckanan on one side and the captain Sourav Ganguly on other side.

Shahrukh who was happy with the team and Ganguly at the beginning has blamed Ganguly for the continuous failure of the team. Clashes between Ganguly and Shahrukh are going on regarding the toss, opening batting, choosing the 11-players sides and all. Shahrukh is in support of coach who has clashes with Ganguly.

First of all, the opening pair is not satisfactory for Shahrukh. He says that after the departure of Gayle and McCullum, they tried Akash Chopra, Salman Butt, Hafeez and even ganguly but it has not been able to provide strong opening to the team. Selection of Shoaib Akhtar is also a matter of quarrel between Knight Riders coach and Ganguly. Ganguly had forcefully played Akhtar in the match where he took 4 wickets despite the decision of coach not to play him. Similarly, Akash Chopra has been given opportunities which are not favoured by Ganguly.

Where there are Shahrukh and Ganguly there is supposed to be clashes and controversies. The dispute of Ganguly with the coach proves that though it’s Chappell or any other it doesn’t matters for him. Ganguly will always have clashes. Ganguly was earlier criticized by Shane Warne and even his team mate Umar Gul during the IPL match between Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royal.

On the other hand Shahrukh too is surrounded by a lot of controversies related to cricket. He had blamed against the ICC anti-corruption unit which barred Shahrukh from entering the dressing room. Similarly, it is said that he showed his anger in the dressing room against Ganguly by breaking chairs and all.

Anyway, Kolkota Knight Riders are sure not to enter the final of IPL. Though, it has not been able to win the heart of peoply by winning matches, its still favourite of many due to Shahrukh, star players and as a brand in Kolkata. Further clashes and dispute between Shahrukh and Ganguly can spoil the team further and more harm can happen to Kolkata Knight Riders.

Makhaya Ntini Takes Hat-trick in IPL for Chennai SuperKings against Kolkata Knight Riders

Makhaya Ntini of Chennai Super Kings took Hat-Trick against the Kolkata in the match played in IPL Kolkata. Makhaya Ntini became the 3rd one to take Hat-Trick in the IPL format that started from this only year. Laxmipathy Balaji of same team Chennai was the 1st one to take Hat-Trick. Malhaya Ntini took four wickets in the match giving out only the 21 runs in his 4 overs. He took the wicket of Mohammed Hafeez, Saurabh Ganguly, David Hussey and DB Das.

Talking about the hat-trick, the hatrick came in the installments. He took the his second wicket of Ganguly in the last ball of his speel. Then the other two wickets came in the two first balls of his second wicket. Interesting thing was that no-one in the ground were known about the hat-trick, Even comentators, bowler and captain. All the wickets of hat-trick are came from the bold. First of all Ntini got the middle stump of Saurabh Ganguly, Leg stump of DB DAS and finally golden duck David Hussey had to loose the off stump.

Shoaib Akhtar takes 4 wicket in IPL debut, Kolkata Knight Riders win

Shoaib Akhtar of Kolkata Knight Riders took 4 wickets in IPL to defeat Delhi DareDevils by 23-runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders got their main bowler played for the match against Delhi which got them a comprehensive win over the Virender Sehwag's Delhi Daredevils by 23 runs. Batting first the riders made 133-6 and in reply bDevils were able to make only 110 runs. Thanks to great opening spell for the debut boy in IPL Shoab Akhtar as he took 4 wickets for 11 runs in 3 overs. Shoaib was given the bowl to open by Ganguly and he got the wicket of captain Virender Sehwag in the second bowl. In his next two over he got rid of Gautam Gambhir, AB De Villars and Manoj Tiwary. Shoaib was on Hat-trick as he got out Villars and tiwari in the consecutive deliveries.

Video: Laxmipathy Balaji claimed first Hat-Trick in IPL T20

Laxmipathy Balaji has knocked the door of BCCI with the fabulous Hat-Trick against the King's XI Punjab for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL T20's 31st match. Balaji played a vital role for the victory over Punjab in the match taking two other wickets than Hat-Trick making 5 all together. Balaji took 2 wickets in the 13 th over of the match and directly took the hat-trick on the final of the match.

Punjab's Kings XI needed 19 runs of of last 4 delivery. Laxmipathy Balaji was the bowler for Chenai and Irfan Pathan was the Batsman for the Punjab. Pressure was all together in the both side. Balaji bowled a short length bowl and Pathan fully went after it and pulled it toward the square leg. Raina did not missed the chance to capture the ball. This was Balaji's First Victim of Hat-trick.

Shane Warne criticized the Mumbai Pitch after loosing

Shane Warne, the Rajastan Royals captian in IPL has criticized the pitch of Mumbai as the worst one in the IPL. Royals had their second consecutive defeat in the IPL on 7th May. Rajastan were all out for just 103 runs in playing the first innings. Shane warne said that the pitch was the worst one of IPL due to which his team wasn't performing well.

Asnodkar and Watson were only the two players to reach the double figure with 39 and 32 runs. The Rajastan teams were bold out in just 16.3 overs. This was the lowest total performed by the Shane Warne's team in the IPL 2008. Also this was the first case that the Royals were all out or could not play their given 20 overs.

The pitch was criticized by Warne in the post match Press Conference. Shaun Pollock, the winning captain of Mumbai Indians said that Royals were not used to for the such pitch so that they were not able to perform well. It seemed that Pollock might be going with Shane Warne. In the reply, Pollock's Mumbai Indians got chaised to the total of 103 runs in 15.1 overs losing 3 wickets.

It is terror for the Rajastan to get all out in just small run figures. Inspite of more critism o the pitch Warne's Warrior's should focus more in the playing cricket that is bowling, batting and feilding more. Warne should try to reunite his teams with positive result in the next match of IPL

Sohail Tanvir claims new record for his 6 wickets in a match

Sohail Tanvir took 6 wickets against the Chennai Super Kings. The Rajastan Royals premeire bowler claime 6 wickets giving out only the 14 runs. This 6-14 became the best figure in the any level of Twenty20. Batting first, the Chennai Super KIngs got the poor start with Sohail claiming 2 wickets in his first over. Tanvir got he first three men out. Later on he destroyed the middle and lower order of Super Kngs.

Prathiv Patel was the first victim of Sohail in the first delivery of the innings. In the similar over New Zealand's Stephen Flemming was also gone for none in his 2nd delivery. Both the opener Patel and Fleming were trapped by LBW. Later Tanvir got Vidyut(5), Albie Morkel(42), Murali(0) and Ntini(11).

This performance from the Tanvir will make the Rajastani team more pumped as they have their 5th consecutive win in the IPL T20. Tanvir has been the emerging player in the Interntional cricket. He was first seen in the T20 world and was of different kind with his shringly action. Tanvir as very much watchable in the world Cup. Pakistan were near the victory of the World Cup. After that he continued a good series in the home ODI's and in india.

With his new talent Tanvir was brought by the Rajastani team. But the thing is that the amount for him ie., 50 lakh IRs. is less comparing to his capablities. The rae should had been quite higher as Tanvir is the bowler who has been impresive in this format of game. Rajastan now could filly rely on their premiere bowler Tanvir. Ganguly criticized after the defeat against Rajastan Royals

Sourabh Ganguly, captain of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders has been criticized for his captaincy in this form of the game. Kokata Knight riders were ruled out for three straight games after the defeat against the Shane Warne's Rajastani Royals by 45-runs.

Shane warne the wining captain criticized the losing captain in the press conference after the match. Sourabh has been criticized for not showing good sportmanship. He said that Sourabh has tried to violet the reputation of the gentleman's game. Sourabh was late int he match by 20 mins when the Rajastani players and his own fellow teammates were on the ground Sourabh was missing. This drama was not a new for Ganuly as it was same condition when he was late in the previous match against the Bangolore Royal Challengers.

Ganguly was also been criticized for asking the umpire to call for 3rd umpire. He was lucky to escape from it as 3rd umpire couldn't judge either Graeme Smith has taken the catch or not & gave not out. Shane Warne in the post match press conference that Ganguly should have gone from the feild as Graeme Smith, one of the experience cricketer as well as South AfricanCaptain was very much sure about the brilliant catch taken.

Not only from the other team, Ganguly was also criticized by this fellow team-mate for the Knight Riders Umar Gul. Umar Gul said that Ganguly was not fit for the captaincy on the such format of twenty-20 as it was the new for him. Umar Gul played his first IPL match today taking 2 wickets for Knight Riders.

It is important now that Ganguly should try to get his team members pumped up after three consecutive defeats in the IPL from two straight win. Knight Riders were seen the most powerful team in the paper before IPL and they have the potentiality to perform.

Watch the matches of IPL (Indian Premier League) live on your computer

The multmillionaire Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to start on 18th April 2008. A new era in cricket is about to start. Club cricket in India will bring a lot of revolutions in cricket. Watching this 44 days twenty20 series a lot of fun.

Where Can you watch IPL ?

In India, Nepal and other such countries Indian sony tv is going to broadcast it. IPL will be shown live on TV in Sony Max. In other countries, different sports channels have brought the broadcast rights. So enjoy it in televisoion. Even though you don't have access to tv, you can watch it live on your computer. Different sites claim that they show live ipl matches. Some are paid and others non-paid. You be responsible and choose the correct one. For now, I will be listing such sites showing IPL Indian Premier League Live on computer.
